To be included in the Locker 227 database, an artwork needs to be original, one-off, generally two-dimensional, and sold or offered at auction this century.  We do not include sculpture, or prints such as lithographs, etchings, screen prints (or serigraphs), collographs, aquatints, photographic prints or any other prints that are produced as an 'edition'.  Monotypes are included, as they meet the criteria of 'original' and 'one-off'.  Assemblages that are generally two-dimensional (for example, much of the work of artist Rosalie Gascoigne ) are included.

In addition, the artwork must be created by one single identifiable artist, which means that collaborative works and works that are only 'attributed' to, or by and unknown artist are not included.
