Garrett dismisses calls to delay resale royalty scheme |

During two days in Canberra last week, the visual arts sector and arts bureaucrats presented their views on the federal Government's proposed art resale royalty scheme.
Submissions to the parliamentary standing committee hearing on the new legislation, proposed by Arts Minister Peter Garrett in parliament three months ago, came from indigenous and non-indigenous artists, representative groups such as copyright collecting agency Viscopy and the National Association for the Visual Arts, and from gallery owners and auction houses.
