Welcome to Locker 227 - an online database of Australian art auction records.

We currently have over 45,000 auction records from over 4,000 Australian artists.  Please note that to access the auction records you will need to login, and if you do not already have a username and password, you will also need to register.  Registration is free, and takes only a couple of minutes.  See the login and registration links on the left hand side of the page.

Once you have explored the site on the free membership, you can decide to upgrade to a Premium Member, which will give you access to realised prices, artwork image and details links and statistics on realised prices.

A good place to start is the 'artists' link under the left menu, where you can find the artist you are interested in, then click on various links relating to that artist.  Other features of the site are listed below.

• View all artwork coming up for auction, without having to trawl through auction catalogues at every auction house website 
• Browse Australian art auction records including estimates and prices realised
• Search for auction records based on criteria including artists, the auction house, prices and date ranges
• Set up a watchlist of artists you are interested in monitoring
  
• Link to the image, and further details of the artwork on the auction house website (if available)
• View statistics on prices realised per artist, grouped by year and artwork medium
• View and add stolen or lost artwork
• View a list of biographies, monographs and other reference books relevant to the artist
